Message	of what your adding. The octane rating it simply its ability to resist detonation. Take into consideration that whatever chemical being used to up the octance, could be more dense than gasoline, giving it more parts per volume which equals more power when ignited, or that when the bonds of the molecule break, more energy is releaser, also producing more power.
